Plan counseling sessions

Include the number of sessions per month, standard rate, expected insurance coverage, and the number of months you want to model. Coverage is a percentage paid by insurance. The planner reports your share, insurance reimbursement, and totals across the selected period.

Fill in the fields to see totals.

How the cost model operates

The planner multiplies the per-session fee by the number of visits per month to compute gross monthly cost. Insurance coverage reduces that amount by a percentage, leaving your out-of-pocket share. Expressed as a formula for monthly out-of-pocket cost C:

C = S R 1 - p 100

where S is sessions per month, R is the rate per session, and p is insurance coverage in percent. Multiplying by the number of months yields the total commitment over the planning horizon. The same formula multiplied by p 100 produces the insurerโ€™s share.
